The 154 followed the little BMC diesel, there was a 245, and a larger model, I can't remember the model number. It starts well, had a new clutch a few years ago which was never right-gears scrunch when depressed even at low revs, hydraulics drop and lift with a load on them, rear tyres are worn out as are fronts, both doors have had hinges welded on due to braking, front wheel bearings need replacing, front grill missing and bonnet dented, leakes badly from the rear end, steering is very heavy but has no play, some glass missing in the cab.Leylands did indeed follow on from Nuffields. I love this tractor and know it well and would love to buy it before the sale. But he has an old Leyland 344 which was used with a buck rake to move round siliage bales around. He has finally got round to booking a farm sale in september which would include all his old implements and a case 5130-a mx100c etc. He has sold a few implements etc to my other employers at a reasonable price. One farmer I work for retired 2 years ago keeping me on for general work around the horse paddocks. Hey, I have a DB 950 Implematic already and need another tractor.
